ANEMONE TRIBUTE

The anemone, or Wind flower, has appeared on Moorcroft pottery almost continuously for 80 years. In its latest reincarnation Emma Bossons has taken the design to new heights of style and botanical accuracy - look at the grace of the flowers and the detail in the stamens. This pattern was introduced in 2003 as a tribute to the memory of Walter Moorcroft. The anemone derives its name from the Greek for wind. In Greek mythology the flower was believed to have sprang from the tears of Venus as she wandered on Mount Olympus following the death of Adonis.
