QUEEN'S CHOICE RM3/27 Numbered

This is one of the largest pieces that Moorcroft make. Emma Bosson has reworked her Queen's choice desiogn to include fifteen butterflies flying amongst the fruit.

THE HOME 370/16 L/E 50

The Prestige piece of the colection commanding a price of £5650. The 370 shape has not been used for 85 years. The design incorporates features taken from the designs of the other pieces in the collection.

ALHAMBRA 72/20 Prestige Vase. Beverley Wilkes opted for Spain and the Moorish influences on the City of Alhambra for design inspiration. Set against a backcloth of the Sierra Nevada mountains, Alhambra is a majestic design in both its depth of vision and subject matter. The terracotta roofs of the houses and the pale blue sky almost talk with each other, while the mountains set everything in a perspective of human endeavour and natural grandeur. Almost inevitably, Beverley Wilkes’ Alhambra also underwent a metamorphous on to Moorcroft’s prestige stage. Popular as the small limited edition of 2010 has been, the prestige version promises its owners even more.

THISTLEDOWN 80/20 Prestige Vase. In this design, the light puffs of white thistledown drift gently away from their host. Contrasting, vibrant thistle flowers stand proud in their cardinal purple attire. Rachel Bishop’s prestige size Thistledown bubbles over with the same glorious colour combinations of green, cream and burgundy, first seen in the limited edition released earlier in 2010. Rachel has added real drama to the design by adapting it to the much-loved 80 shape with its bulb shaped base and elegant long neck reaching a full 20 inches tall.

HOUSE OF FLOWERS 159/18 Prestige Vase. Due to the popularity of the 2009 House of Flowers plaque Kerry Goodwin was invited to create a prestige version of her groundbreaking design. While the flowers on the vase remain the same, Kerry has added 3 additional landscape scenes between the flowers, each with a stylised garden gate. Each scene is different, some buildings have staircases, others have turrets or spires and all are in the Arts and Crafts style. Each piece is numbered and signed.

TIMBAVATI This stunning 24 inch vase on the 94 shape by Kerry Goodwin is a majestic tribute to the elephant in its wild surroundings. Inspired by a trip to Africa in November 2006 Kerry has recreated this spectacular landscape at a waterhole lit by the crimson rays of the sunset.

HIDDEN DREAMS This is the prestige piece from Emma Bossons Hidden Dreams collection of 2005. On the RM3 shape the piece stands 27 inches high. Designed after the other pieces in the collection it brings the eight design images together in a series of three "windows". This massive piece has the hallmarks of excellence that goes with Emma's name and is available in a limited edition of just 50.

PARASOL DANCE This magnificent 15 inch prestige vase on the 7 shape by Kerry Goodwin cries out to be touched. Moorcroft's newest member of the Design Studio has created swirling mushrooms on a rich landscape. The mushrooms have thick swirls cascading down the stems while the red and gold caps have many spotted markings.

YUKON WILDERNESS The Yukon is a vast tract of remote wilderness in Canada of mountains, rivers, tundra and thick forests. Here some 17000 bears roam free and in September visit the Teslin River to catch spawning salmon. Sian Leeper has captured this scene "in the round" on her 16 inch vase on the 18 shape. Bright autumn leaves and succulent blackberries set the scene for this family of bears.

FIRE AND WATER The lead piece from the 2007 catalogue was inspired by a 200 year old poem Amphisbaena. The Moorcroft double gourd vase (shape 70) has been enlarged for the first time to accommodate these fantastic images by Kerry Goodwin.
A Jurassic-style dragonfly with light, reddish orange wings hovers above the water dragon as it spits fire in vivd gushes of shaded orange flame at the devil fish armed with razor-sharp teeth and green, armoured body scales which fade to purple at the fishes tail.

OWLPEN For this special edition to commemorate her ten years as a Moorcroft designer, Rachel Bishop wandered through the 16th and 17th century formal gardens of Owlpen Manor for her inspiration. This Tudor house is set in a remote and picturesque wooded valley in the Cotswolds and its seven hanging terraces have topiary yews, box parterres, old roses and a mill pond. A superb piece, standing 20 inches tall and with an edition size of just 100.
